About Us
Since 2016, we've been more than just a service — we've been Zimbabwe's partner in change. As the nation's leading waste management firm, WasteMate delivers world-class, eco-friendly solutions that protect our industries and preserve our environment.
Our Story
We don't just manage waste; we're engineering a cleaner future for Zimbabwe.
What began as a small recycling operation in Harare has grown into the nation's leading waste management company serving tobacco estates, mining operations, healthcare facilities, commercial businesses, and residential communities across Zimbabwe.
Today, we offer end-to-end solutions spanning waste collection, hazardous disposal, recycling and recovery, carbon audits, ESG reporting, and environmental consulting. Our team of engineers, logistics specialists, and sustainability experts work together to protect communities, support industries, and build a cleaner future.
To provide innovative, safe, and sustainable waste management solutions that protect human health and the environment.
To become Southern Africa's leading integrated waste management and environmental services company.
Our Strategy
We don't just manage waste; we master it. To deliver world-class service, WasteMate operates on a tripartite foundation.
We ensure all waste is handled, transported, treated, and disposed of in compliance with national and international environmental regulations — keeping our clients ahead of evolving standards and legal requirements.
Through waste-to-energy solutions, biodiesel production, biomass briquettes, and recycled products, we create economic value from waste streams — turning disposal costs into revenue and reducing dependency on virgin materials.
With a 90% client loyalty rate, we embed ourselves in our clients' operations — designing bespoke waste management programmes that integrate seamlessly into their workflows and deliver measurable results.
Global Commitment
At WasteMate, we don't just work for today; we build for 2030. Our operations are directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Diverting and preventing pesticide contamination of peri-urban and rural water sources.
Converting biomass and used oil into energy products — briquettes and biodiesel.
Creating green jobs and supporting the agricultural economy through our farmer outreach.
Developing processes and industry technologies to handle agricultural waste.
Keeping our urban and residential areas clean, safe, and livable.
Turning "waste" back into resources through innovative recycling.
Reducing carbon footprints by diverting waste from landfills.
Protecting our precious ecosystems from hazardous pollutants and plastic waste.
Collaborating with government, councils, and regulatory bodies to draft policy on extended producer responsibilities.
